Planet Innovation has been recognized as Manufacturer of the Year (Large Business) at the 2022 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.
In addition to this major award, PI also took home the Outstanding Response to COVID-19 Award, for our work in producing critical health products throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including portable ventilators and surface sterilization.
The awards recognize the achievements of manufacturers across the state and showcase the vital role that manufacturing plays. The theme for this year, Made in Victoria, highlights the importance of local manufacturing and the breadth of products, technology and ideas produced in the state.
PI CEO Stuart Elliott said, “We are thrilled to be named Manufacturer of the Year. This award is a testament to our unique combination of product development and regulated manufacturing, which is a key driver behind PI becoming a manufacturing destination for many of the world’s most successful and exciting companies.
“We greatly appreciate that the award also called out our breadth of manufacturing capability that, in addition to manufacturing instruments and devices, includes ISO 7 certified cleanrooms that support the manufacture of sterile consumables that are often associated with the biomedical industry.”
Globally, PI has 120,000 sq. ft. of fully equipped facilities, manufacturing FDA-regulated products across the United States and Australia.
PI invests heavily in our people, in our processes and in our tools to ensure that we stay at the cutting edge of product manufacturing. It is a privilege to be recognized for our efforts.

What sets one contract manufacturing operation apart from another? According to Colin Potter, PI’s GM of Manufacturing, it’s all about shared values and aspirations between manufacturer and clients.
