Planet Innovation and ANDHealth have secured LaunchVic funding to deliver a unique joint program ‘B.R.I.G.H.T Future For Digital Health Innovators’ over the next two years.
The program marries ANDHealth’s digital health commercialization expertise with PI’s unique B.R.I.G.H.T innovation framework to provide tailored advice and thinking models to digital health companies needing support to commercialize their technologies.
This framework provides practical skills and reusable models to help digital health company founders address the many commercial issues faced by early-stage digital health companies.
It will be delivered through interactive workshops, including immersion with frontline clinicians, payers, patients, pharmaceutical companies and industry leaders.
Sam Lanyon, Planet Innovation Co-CEO and Co-founder, said the B.R.I.G.H.T framework encompassed learnings and models built from real-world experiences.
“PI has built the B.R.I.G.H.T framework after nearly a decade of supporting start-ups turn ideas into successful businesses,” Sam said.
“Importantly, the B.R.I.G.H.T program does not force a rigid, generic framework on its recipients, but rather provides a process and toolkit that allows the recipients to up-skill quickly in critical gaps. Many programs exist to help founders develop a Minimal Viable Product (MVP), but the B.R.I.G.H.T process allows founders to develop to a Minimal Viable Business (MVB).”
As Australia’s national digital health initiative, ANDHealth is experienced in delivering health commercialization strategy though its flagship ANDHealth+ program, which is focused on assisting Australian mid-stage digital health companies to meet key investor, partner and customer requirements around clinical and commercial validation.
ANDHealth Managing Director Bronwyn Le Grice said ANDHealth would leverage its knowledge and access to international digital health leaders to deliver the B.R.I.G.H.T Future For Digital Health Innovators program.
“We have seen first-hand the value that experienced industry leaders with real-world knowledge and experience provide for mid-stage companies in our ANDHealth+ program. We are now very pleased to be able to deliver a suitable program for founder of early-stage digital health companies as they look to commercialization,” Bronwyn said.
The AU$250,000 funding, part of the LaunchVic Round 8 Health Startup Sector funding, was announced by the Hon Philip Dalidakis, Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy, in Melbourne on Tuesday 2 October.
