As one of the earliest and most influential microneedling companies, DermapenWorld is globally recognized as pioneering and then popularizing the use of automated microneedling devices to treat a range of common skin disorders.
Often considered the gold standard for professional treatments by the industry, DermapenWorld recently celebrated its seven and half millionth treatment delivered via its range of patented products. Yet its greatest achievement to date may be the role it has played in helping establish the market sector that it now leads.
Stene Marshall, CEO of DermapenWorld explains, “In less than two decades we have built not just a thriving a business, but a body of clinical evidence that has supported the establishment of the entire microneedling sector, which delivers life-changing treatments to patients suffering from acne to pigmentation conditions.”
DermapenWorld first started its journey focused on the Australian and New Zealand markets. By 2014, the company had expanded to 6 countries and by 2018 was supplying approximately 30 countries. As the product range expanded, so did the demand for DermapenWorld. By 2024 it was supporting clinics and authorized providers in well over 100 countries through the supply of its microneedling products, skincare products and, more recently, its LED-based solutions for hair and scalp treatments.
“Our clients are after mainstream solutions that provide reliable, reproducible outcomes for their patients at an affordable price. Now, any clinic working in the skin or hair space can easily afford our product range, which allows them to expand the services they deliver to their customers,” said Stene.
To ensure their product range is always up to date and delivering the latest in non-invasive skin repair, rejuvenation and scalp treatments, DermapenWorld partners with a small number of trusted organizations.
“Planet Innovation (PI) is one of our most trusted partners. Initially PI just provided electronics and software services, but they also became our manufacturing partner some time ago, and so we now see them more as our full-service commercialization partner,” Stene explained.
Planet Innovation has manufactured approximately 70,000 Dermapen devices, which DermapenWorld backs with a 7-year warranty, reflecting the reliability of the product and its commitment to its clients.
Going forward, DermapenWorld plans to maintain its advancement of the medical-aesthetic sector through the growth of its LED technology hair and scalp solutions, which complement its existing skin solutions. This range of multi-modality solutions is being delivered via a common technology platform that also features a docking station that enables over-the-air upgrades, ensuring devices are always up to date with the latest available functionality.
In the world of clinical-grade aesthetics and dermatology solutions, DermapenWorld continues to set the benchmark by which the rest of sector strives to achieve. As it expands into new countries, so does its impact in helping patients around the world live healthier and happier lives thanks to its safe, effective, affordable treatments.
