When the people at PI aren’t developing or manufacturing medtech products, they’re often running, riding, frisbeeing, and in this case, enjoying a weekend of waves. Over a dozen PI team members, and family, recently embraced the great outdoors for a first-of-its-kind, PI Surfing and Camping trip.
Melbourne Shoreham Foreshore Reserve served up blue skies with a mix of the occasional shower to keep things lively. Friday got off to a great start as people set up camp and shared stories of their different surfing experiences over a beer and BBQ. The PI Surf Crew was up bright and early to catch some 8am waves before the real highlight in the afternoon, with 18 of the crew out at the Second Reef surf spot with the whole break to themselves. The rest of the day was jampacked with surfs, cricket, spikeball, frisbee, some footy and a well-earned BBQ to top off Saturday night.

Sunday morning rewarded the PI surf crew with pristine conditions, with all but a few of the 18 surfers back out at 8am riding a clean swell all to themselves. While surfing at PI has been a common passion for many, a new PI tradition, in the shape of the PI Surf Weekend, has well and truly been born. A huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen and brought the good vibes!
