Meiban completes full acquisition of Planet Innovation providing medtech companies with a single, global partner from product innovation through to high-volume manufacturing.
Meiban Corp Holdings, one of Asia’s leading contract manufacturers, has acquired the remaining equity in Planet Innovation (PI), an award-winning medtech product innovation and engineering company, bringing its total shareholding to 100%. The deal builds on a strategic alliance established in 2025, when Meiban acquired an initial stake of approximately 20% in PI.
The acquisition formally unites two highly complementary businesses into an integrated Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) serving the global medtech sector.
For clients, it is business as usual. PI continues to operate under its existing brand and leadership with its unique culture of innovation. PI teams in Melbourne, Australia and Irvine, U.S. will keep delivering the product development and early-stage manufacturing services clients rely on. Meiban clients continue to receive high-volume manufacturing from Meiban’s facilities in Singapore and Malaysia. What changes is how easily clients can move from world-leading product development to manufacturing at scale, through one partner.
A full-lifecycle solution for MedTech, filling a critical gap in the market
Medtech companies have typically had to manage separate vendors for development and manufacturing, creating accountability gaps and costly handovers on the path to commercialization. Together, they give clients one accountable team from concept to commercial-scale production, with manufacturing options across Asia, Australia and the United States.
